Memorial Mile is up for the Weekend

Vets for Peace Chapter 14/78 started working on their second annual Memorial Mile display at 2:00am on Saturday morning. It was completed by 6:30am with the help of over 50 early bird volunteers. The display includes a labeled tombstone for each American death in Iraq and Afghanistan on the south side of 8th Avenue NW just east of its intersection with NW 34th street. On the North side of 8th Avenue VFP posted their Cot of War display and the local chapter of Code Pink displayed their quilt exhibit memorializing both Americans and Iraqis deaths.
